October 31, 2005—Portland, Oregon—Thetus Corporation, a developer of knowledge discovery software, today announced a collaborative integration with Spotfire, Inc., a leading provider of interactive visual analytics solutions, that will enable joint customers to dramatically improve their ability to discover and exploit actionable knowledge from non-text data collected from satellites, sensors, and other devices. The integrated solution will combine Thetus Publisher’s metadata management and semantic search engine functionality with the interactive visual analysis features of Spotfire DecisionSite.

Thetus and Spotfire customers will be able to leverage the power of Thetus Publisher to classify, manage, search, and discover relevant information across large stores of distributed data, and maximize the utilization of that information within DecisionSite. Integrated discovery features will enable users to perform Thetus-powered searches and visually interact with and analyze the results using a variety of dynamic charts, plots and maps in DecisionSite. Users can refine search results to meet specific aims and instantly transform results into visual data models for evaluation and analysis. DecisionSite will also feature a Thetus-powered annotation tool that allows users to quickly and easily annotate information resources to universally reflect new insights, assertions, and assumptions based on discovery.
